I have been living in canberra since 2011. It was in 2016 when I developed my love for photography & started working towards improving my photography skills. I call Canberra - all season city beacause it offers photogenic stmosphere through out the year. I enjoy photographing the City & its seasons throughout the year. It allows me to go around Canberra & enjoy the different seasons and natural beuty Canberra has to offer. Mount Ainslie Look out for foggy mornings /sunsets , National arboretum for sunrises & lake side for autumnal beauty & ballooon fest are some of my favorite spots for clicking.
Having lived in Canberra since the early 90s I’ve watched this city grow in size and beauty. I only really discovered photography in 2014 but since then I’ve dived deep and never came up for air. I find Canberra one of the most photogenic cities offering every genre a photographer could want within a 30 minute radius. It’s this proximity that has enabled me to become the photographer I am today and I can’t wait to see what photographer I will become tomorrow.
My family and I have been living in Canberra for the last ten years after moving over from the South Coast. I have been interested in photography for quite a while but only in the last few years have I worked hard to improve my skill level. Photogoraphy provides a respite from my normal job and gets me out and about allover Canberra. Watching the sun rise, or set, and enjoying the moment when you get to capture that scene is enjoyable and keeps me getting up for those early morning starts. Canberra is such a varied location to photograph and I have found myself exproing all around Canebrra to find a different shot. The seasons, events and activities that Canebrra has ensure there is a wealth of photogrphic opportunities to explore and enjoy.
I am a Frenchman from the beautiful city of Nice, now living in Australia. I have been calling Canberra home since 2016 after joining the Embassy of France. This posting down under was an opportunity to reinvigorate my passion for photography. As a kid my grandfather who was a professional photographer in Tunisia and then in France taught me the basics. Back in the days I used to shoot films and process my images in my tiny bathroom in Paris. I have always been carrying a camera with me during my various trips around the world, but it’s really becoming addictive since I have been living in Canberra. The fiery sunsets, the mysterious foggy winter mornings, the modernistic look of the Telstra tower, the incredibly clear night skies that allow astrophotography only a few minutes from the city center… all of these incredible features made me becoming an avid amateur photographer.
I have been living in Canberra for 15 years, and love the natural beauty of the region. My interest in photography has developed over the last couple of years, with the Canberra providing a wonderful array of sights and events to keep a developing photographer engaged. The community of Instagrammers in Canberra have also been a wonderful source of inspiration and support for a novice in the field - providing the inspiration to continue to embrace and capcture the beauty of the region we call home.
My name is Xianjun Huang. I’m from China and live in Canberra since 2015. I Like landscape photography, meteor photography and infrared photography. I have started learning about photography since my high school but trying hard to improve my skill in the last few years. Because of Canberra’s unique environment, you can see a clear starry sky just 20 minutes’ drive away from city. The fog and autumn leaves of Canberra in May are fascinating. Infrared photography is to change the color to see the world from other point of view. It’s awesome that you don’t need to do any post producing and the whole world is in pink. I would like to thank my wife here for accompany.
